Cashier/Sales Associate

Job Summary:
The Liquor Store Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing sales transactions. This role includes verifying customer age, handling cash and card payments, maintaining a clean and organized store, and assisting customers with product selection. You need to be 21 to apply. Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide friendly, efficient service
• Operate cash register and process transactions (cash, credit/debit, checks)
• Verify customer identification to ensure legal age for alcohol purchases
• Maintain knowledge of store products, including wine, spirits, and whiskeys
• Assist customers with locating items and making recommendations when needed
• Restock shelves and ensure displays are neat and organized
• Monitor inventory levels and report low stock to management
• Follow all local and state laws regarding alcohol sales
• Keep checkout area clean and orderly
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally
• Cleaning: sweeping, mopping, dusting, and window cleaning

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus
• Basic math and computer skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight (e.g., cases of beverages)
• Must meet minimum legal age requirements to sell alcohol (21 )
