New Product Development Manager - Glass Packaging

We are currently supporting a growing glass packaging manufacturer in hiring a New Product Development Manager to join their USA NPD and commercial team.

This role plays a pivotal part in aligning the company's New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, driving product innovation, and meeting market demands. You will support the development of glass products that address market needs, focusing on unique selling points, sustainability, and customised solutions. This position bridges innovation, marketing, production, and customer insights, ensuring efficient development cycles and seamless transitions from concept to production.

Location - Middlesex County, New Jersey

Hybrid work pattern; 2 days in office, 3 remote working days.

How You Will Add Value to the Team

• Drive product innovation by aligning New Product Development (NPD) initiatives with strategic goals and market demands.
• Implement a stage-gate methodology to boost product innovation and efficiency.
• Collaborate to develop a robust innovation roadmap
• Foster a culture of continuous innovation and improvement through training and engagement.
• Support sustainable packaging transitions aligned with industry targets.

Role Requirements Include:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or similar discipline
• 3 years in New Product Development or related fields. Glass packaging experience preferred.
• Expertise in stage-gate methodologies, risk management, and process optimization.
• Familiarity with sustainability drivers and industry regulations.
• Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
• Strategic thinker capable of translating market needs into innovative solutions.
• Willing to travel to visit customers - primarily in the NY tri-state area.
