Job Description
George Smith Partners (GSP) is seeking a full-time Real Estate Analyst to join an established team in our Century City office. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the team with financial analysis, marketing deck and report preparation, closing commercial real estate financings, and ad-hoc projects.

Experience Level
1-3 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Acquisitions/Financing/Operations, Investment Banking, Investment Sales, or applicable fields.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite – Prepare Excel models summarizing transaction economics based on information provided by developers and present the models to lenders.
- Market Information – Collect market data using external data sources and then incorporate data into transaction models and investment summaries.
- Packaging – Work with senior team members on preparing investment summaries for debt and/or equity providers
- Meetings – Participate in client and lender meetings and take notes for team
- Organization – Organize supporting documentation from active deals including engagement letters, third party data, meeting notes, models, and investment summaries
- Processing – Work with senior team members on monitoring lender due diligence checklists, documentation, property inspections, and coordination with 3rd party vendors
Qualifications
- Mandatory
- Must hold an active California DRE Salespersons’ or Brokers’ license or acquire one within the first 3 months of employment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Competency in financial statement analysis, valuation, accounting and finance
- Ability to multi-task with good time management to meet multiple deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Underwriting & modeling experience in CRE
- Preferred
- Competency in design of marketing and outreach materials
- Experience using Argus Enterprise
