George L. Wilson & Co., the tri-state’s number one source for high quality construction equipment and supplies is currently looking for a Counter Sales Representative. We have been serving the construction industry in Western PA and West Virginia since 1969.
OVERVIEW:
We currently have 2 positions open. One in our Apollo, PA office and one in our Bridgeport, WV office. The ideal candidate is someone that has Construction knowledge; wants a permanent full-time; 40 hour a week position with the desire to grow with a company. They will work to meet customers' needs and answer questions in a timely fashion. They should always have the best interest of the customer and George L. Wilson & Co, Inc. in mind.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Previous sales or Construction knowledge
- Greet customers at counter – helping them understand what they need to complete their job
- Materials Sales experience
- Help with inventory, ordering, counting, stocking shelves
- Prepare quotes and follow up on submitted quotes
- Ship and receive UPS packages
- Troubleshoot questions from customers while demonstrating knowledge of products
- Computer experience a requirement
- Stay current on existing and emerging product
- Maintain a professional/working image in self and work environment
- Ensure products are displayed correctly and properly
COMPETENCIES:
- Blueprint understanding
- Construction knowledge a plus
- Maintain a friendly, "willing to help" attitude
- Good time management
- Organizational skills a must
REPORTS TO: Branch Manager
HOURS: Monday - Friday position 7:00 am - 4:00 pm with no weekend hours.
DEGREE: Associates Degree in Business Management OR 2-4 years of work experience.
