Summary of the position:
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN GROVE CITY, PA, ON THE GEORGE JUNIOR REPUBLIC CAMPUS. The Behavioral Health Technician 2 and 3 are the primary childcare personnel for the Female Step Down Program Facility. This position is designed to provide the daily services of safety, security and structure to the persons served. The care, custody and supervision of the persons served are the primary concerns of the job.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor youth
- Conduct one-on-one sessions
- Complete Treatment Goal Notes
- Attend activities with youth
- Assist in teaching youth life skills
Requirements:
- For the Behavioral Health Technician 3 - Must have an associates or bachelors degree in social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice or related field.
- For the Behavioral Health Technician 2 - Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with behavioral modification, and treatment principles preferred but not required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Act 33/34 Clearances will be required.
- Must be able to work a rotating schedule.
- Must be able to perform passive physical restraint.
