Maintenance Administrative Assistant
Reports to: Asset Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (One (1) Hour Lunch)
Job Location: 3500 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus, OH 43207- This position is primarily in person, with hybrid work capabilities.
General Overview: Under direct supervision, the Administrative Assistant will support various administrative tasks in the Maintenance Operations department and the asset management unit. This person should consistently demonstrate Integrity, Gratitude, Excellence, and Leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with the acquisition and disposal of equipment
- Performs general office duties such as answering phones, managing emails, and handling correspondence
- Maintains and organizes files, records, and documents
- Orders office supplies and manages inventory
- Schedules and coordinates meetings, appointments, and events
- Prepares and distributes meeting agendas, minutes, and other relevant documents
- Assists with data entry, report generation, and documentation preparation
- Provide support for various Departmental projects and initiatives
- Interacts professionally with clients, vendors, and other external and internal customers
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- One (1) - two (2) years of administrative experience preferred
- Must successfully pass a drug screening (George J. Igel & Co., Inc. is a Substance Use Prevention and Recovery Drug-Free Workplace and tests for marijuana)
- Must maintain an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) that meets the Companys eligibility requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of equipment acquisition and disposal
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Skilled communicator with strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Skilled in organizing resources and problem-solving
- Ability to use digital platforms and systems
- Ability to make independent decisions with guidance
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to learn new skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds
