Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of civil legal procedures with experience in managing family law and personal injury cases.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist in preparing legal documents, such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings
- Review and analyze documents for accuracy and completeness
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the case
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness files
- Perform general clerical duties, such as filing, photocopying, and answering phone calls
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Paralegal or similar role
- Strong knowledge of legal research methods and resources
- Proficiency in using legal software and databases (e.g., Clio)
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and review
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
