Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The Commercial Property Manager will oversee the daily operations of a commercial property within the portfolio, ensuring effective property management, tenant satisfaction, and adherence to budgets. The role requires a proactive approach to property performance while maintaining high operational standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a 500,000 SF commercial building
- Ensure the property complies with all applicable codes, regulations, and lease requirements
- Respond promptly to tenant requests, addressing issues while enforcing building rules
- Conduct regular inspections of the building and grounds, coordinating necessary maintenance and repairs
- Oversee and manage onsite vendors and service providers, verifying that all documentation and certificates of insurance are up to date
- Assist with planning and coordination of building improvements, small construction projects, and capital repairs from initiation through completion.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing commercial buildings is required
- Strong communication skills with a focus on maintaining tenant relations and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Thorough knowledge of property management and related operational responsibilities
- Familiarity with leases, lease terms, and financial implications
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field preferred
- Professional certifications such as CPM, RPA, or equivalent are an advantage
Compensation and Benefits
• Base salary: $100,000–$120,000 depending on experience
