Production Line Lead - Night Shift

Position Summary

The Production Line Lead is responsible for overseeing and guiding the processing line team to ensure efficient operation and achievement of production goals. This role involves leading and training team members, coordinating workflow, and collaborating with the Supervisor to plan and assign tasks. The Lead also helps implement company policies, ensures adherence to procedures, and identifies opportunities for improvement in production methods, equipment usage, and workplace conditions.

Essential Duties for all Employees:

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment that promotes work safety and product integrity.

· You must follow all Safety, HACCP & GMP requirements always.

· Adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

· Willing to be flexible to accommodate changing business conditions.

· Ensure cleanliness around facility, freezer, and production area.

Job-Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the flow of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods through the production process to meet product specifications and process parameters.
• Monitor personnel and equipment to ensure the production line operates at optimal speed and efficiency.
• Identify and report equipment breakdowns or non-conforming products and take corrective actions promptly.
• Train crew members on their job duties and responsibilities to ensure consistent performance.
• Provide safety training to all crew members, including job-specific safe work practices and hazard awareness.
• Conduct pre-startup inspections of line equipment to ensure proper assembly, presence of safety guards, and elimination of potential hazards.
• Ensure personnel follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Oversee production documentation, including accurate and legible completion of records, and train staff on proper reporting procedures.

Qualifications:

· High school Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related work experience

Good oral communication, people and leadership skills.

· Able to work independently, meet deadlines and identify when to escalate concerns to supervisor

· Bilingual a plus, Spanish
