What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Team Lead position at GEORG FISCHER?

Daily Operations: Manage resources and daily logistics activities including inbound and outbound shipments, warehousing, and distribution.

Safety & 5S: Ensure a safe, organized, and clean working environment following 5S & Ergonomic methodology, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions by supporting safety initiatives.

People Management: Lead & develop through active leadership, development plans, performance management and training matrices while living collective accountability. Compliance and Accuracy: Handle customs clearance and trade compliance including international paperwork. Maintain documentation standards for shipping, receiving, and inventory. Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) providers and transport carriers to ensure performance and compliance.

Continuous Improvement: Improve performance through Operational Excellence/LEAN principles, methods, modules and elements. As well as CAPEX for new or existing equipment to increase capacity and/or improve effectiveness.

Reporting & KPIs: Participate in Daily Management QDIP and Gemba to drive cross-functional execution while tracking daily performance. Ensure root cause analysis and counter measures are identified, executed and validated for effectiveness. Track and improve logistics KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), Delivery Accuracy, Inventory Accuracy, and Warehouse Productivity.

Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain Mgt, Operations Management) from four-year college or university; or 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Practical experience in warehouse operations and shipping preferred.

APICS/CPIM preferred
