Position Title: Senior RF Planning Engineer
Reports To: Sr RF Technology Development and Planning Manager
Location: Remote
Department: CTO
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary: The Senior RF Planning Engineer will support the day-to-day design and deployment of the RF Technology Development and Planning team, assisting with all functions related to RF wireless planning, site design, spectrum planning, data analysis, data dashboard creation, mapping, spatial analysis and adhoc reporting. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle proprietary and confidential information in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and optimize RF networks to support wireless technology development and deployment activities.
- Coordinate site planning and design efforts, including evaluating locations, antenna configurations, and propagation parameters.
- Develop and maintain spectrum plans, ensuring efficient utilization and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform spatial and propagation analysis using RF modeling tools, GIS datasets, and mapping platforms to support coverage and capacity objectives.
- Create and manage data dashboards and analytical reports that visualize RF performance, site progress, and spectrum utilization.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support technical leadership, executive decision-making, and project planning activities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, field, and regulatory teams to ensure accurate data flow and alignment across all RF planning functions.
- Maintain and protect sensitive and proprietary data, following company standards for confidentiality and data governance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency, modeling accuracy, and visualization tools.
- Document and communicate technical findings clearly through reports, maps, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Design and operate equipment test strategy, plans, and reports for full certification and General Acceptance of vendor equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- Associates of Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field and 15 years in RF Design, RF Wireless Network Planning, and data analytics.
- Bachelors of Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field and 10 years in RF Design, RF Wireless Network Planning, and data analytics.
- Knowledge of RF Planning best practices, spectrum deployment strategies and technologies, and RF propagation models.
- Proficient Microsoft Office Suites.
- Mastery in data analytics platforms (Alteryx, KNIME, FME, Python)
- Mastery in mapping and geospatial software (QGIS, ArcGIS, Mapinfo)
- Mastery in data visualization software (Tableau, PowerBI).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Agile Program Management.
- Proficient in Program Management Software (Jira).

- Ability to sit for extended periods of time and work at a computer.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
