We are currently seeking a Calibration Technician to join our team! Under the direction of the Calibration Supervisor, you will be responsible perform calibration of geotechnical instrumentation, including set-up, testing, and analyzing measurement instruments ensuring they are within GEOKON established acceptance criteria.
Requirements:- Set up calibration equipment specific to the instruments being calibrated
- Perform routine equipment maintenance
- Utilize equipment to monitor, test, and calibrate geotechnical equipment to established acceptance criteria
- Perform pressure, angle, displacement, compression, and tension calibration traceable to NIST compliance with ISO requirements
- Diagnose and trouble shoot instrument failures
- Generate documentation for out of tolerance conditions for Engineering review and approval
- Collect, analyze, review, and save calibration data
- Maintain daily output report
- Print, file, and scan calibration reports to designated locations
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and quality procedures
Your Contributions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of experience preferred
- Experience with instrumentation, calibration, metrology, or testing environments preferred
- Proficiency Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver calibration fixtures/ instrumentation assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
