What You'll Do

• Perform geotechnical and geophysical field investigations
• Operate specialized testing and data acquisition equipment
• Collect, document, and submit field data and reports
• Assist with equipment mobilization and project logistics
• Conduct equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Work closely with project teams to ensure safe, accurate project execution
• Support mining, transportation, infrastructure, and commercial construction projects throughout the Western U.S.

What We're Looking ForRequired

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences, or Applied Science
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding work

Preferred

• Previous field engineering, geotechnical, construction, drilling, or surveying experience
• Mechanical or electrical aptitude
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

Travel & AdventureThis role requires frequent travel across the Intermountain West and surrounding regions, with most assignments lasting 7–14 days at a time. All out-of-town work includes a generous per diem.
