Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to various surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment such as airless paint sprayers, and other hand tools.
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project requirements and specifications.
- Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, drywall finishing, and masonry work to create a smooth base for painting.
- Execute specialized painting techniques for industrial applications or restoration projects while adhering to safety protocols.
- Use power tools and hand tools efficiently for trim carpentry, fixture installation, framing, and other preparatory tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential and commercial painting along with construction site experience.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as caulking guns, putty knives, brushes, rollers, and power tools including sanders and spray equipment.
- Experience with plastering, stucco application, restoration work, and renovation projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform masonry work or concrete finishing is a plus.
- Strong understanding of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects.
- Valid experience in construction painting disciplines such as industrial painting or construction painting is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with good physical stamina; ability to work at heights or in confined spaces safely.
