Plant Manager – Manufacturing
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a U.S. based manufacturer with over 30 years of quality production experience and facilities in Los Angeles, CA and Charlotte, NC. We are expanding our footprint with a new manufacturing facility in Irving, Texas. We are seeking a Plant Manager to lead the startup, stabilization, and long-term operation of the site.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. In addition to daily operations, this role will play a key part in establishing documented, repeatable manufacturing practices that support future Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or ISO-type compliance expectations and long-term scalability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plant Leadership & Operations
• Lead all aspects of plant operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
• Build, develop, and lead production, maintenance, and support teams
• Drive improvements in labor efficiency, scrap reduction, safety performance, and productivity
• Establish and track KPIs, daily management routines, and escalation processes
• Maintain strong floor presence and hands-on leadership approach
• Manage operating budgets, labor planning, and plant-level performance metrics
Startup & Equipment Oversight
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, and ramp-up activities
• Oversee processing and operation of state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment
• Partner with maintenance to ensure utilities, PM programs, and asset reliability are established early
• Ensure safe startup and stable production as volumes increase
Process Documentation & Compliance Readiness
• Develop and maintain documented manufacturing processes, including SOPs, work instructions, preventive maintenance documentation, and training records
• Help translate operational knowledge into clear, usable documentation
• Establish plant practices aligned with GMP principles
• Support readiness for future ISO or customer audits, as required
• Promote a culture of consistency, traceability, and accountability
Systems & Continuous Improvement
• Effectively utilize manufacturing systems such as ERP/MRP and CMMS
• Partner with maintenance and process teams to ensure systems support real operational needs
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, cost, and delivery
• Share best practices and improvements with other company facilities as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• 3 years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience working in a continuous or high-volume manufacturing environment
• Baseline technical understanding of electrical, PLC, hydraulics, pneumatics, water, and air systems
• Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance through structured processes
Preferred
• Plastics manufacturing experience (injection molding and/or blow molding)
• Automation experience
• Exposure to GMP or ISO-aligned manufacturing environments
• Experience with ERP/MRP and CMMS systems
• Spanish language skills (a plus, not required)
• Prior plant expansion experience

Location: Irving, TX
Pay Range: $130,000 – $140,000 base up to 30% incentive bonus
Schedule: Full-time | 24/7 Operation | On-call as needed
