Position Overview
The Imagery Scientist – EO Expert provides advanced expertise in Electro-Optical (EO) imagery analysis, algorithm development, and remote sensing methodologies. This position supports operational exploitation, research initiatives, and development of innovative EO analytical capabilities across mission environments.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of six (6) years of experience as an Electro-Optical (EO) imagery subject matter expert
- Deep understanding of EO collection methodologies, phenomenology, image formation processes, and exploitation products
- Experience exploiting EO imagery to identify, characterize, and geolocate Objects of Interest (OOIs)
- Experience developing, testing, and evaluating algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using EO imagery with tools such as Python, MATLAB, and Google Earth Engine
- Ability to communicate EO capabilities, operational applications, and limitations to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong understanding of remote sensing principles, imagery science, image processing, and advanced exploitation methodologies
- Experience applying computer vision (CV), artificial intelligence (AI), or machine learning (ML) techniques to EO imagery exploitation and analytics
