Job Description: Infra & DevOps Engineer
Job Type: Three Months Contract
Job Location: Exton, PA (Hybrid)/Onsite
Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Infra & DevOps Engineer to manage and evolve our Microsoft Azure infrastructure with a strong focus on Azure API Management (APIM), Kubernetes, and support for high-availability enterprise applications. This role will play a critical part in ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance across our digital and integration platforms.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Azure Infrastructure Management
- Administer and optimize our Azure environment, including resource provisioning, cost management, security, and monitoring.
- Manage Azure APIM gateways, policies, and API lifecycle processes.
- Containerization & Orchestration
- Deploy, scale, and manage containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Develop and maintain Helm charts, CI/CD pipelines, and container registries (ACR or others).
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery
- Design and implement resilient systems to support mission-critical platforms such as TIBCO and other integration services.
- Ensure robust failovers, monitoring, and incident response for 24/7 operations.
- Automation & CI/CD
- Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
- Work closely with development teams to build automated pipelines for code deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
- Monitoring & Observability
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, PrometheGrafana).
- Perform root cause analysis and proactive performance tuning.
- Security & Compliance
- Apply DevSecOps best practices to ensure secure configurations, credential management, and compliance with IT policies.
- Partner with InfoSec on threat modeling, vulnerability scans, and secure deployments.
- MongoDB/Cosmos Database Management
- Own the operational lifecycle including deployment, configuration, monitoring, security controls, and high-availability design.
- Drive performance tuning, backup/restore strategy, scaling, and cost optimization to ensure reliable and efficient database operations.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Engineering role.
- Deep experience with Microsoft Azure, especially Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure API Management (APIM).
- Proven experience operating and optimizing MongoDB and Azure Cosmos DB workloads in live cloud environments.
- Experience supporting high-availability, low-latency enterprise systems
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Hands-on with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Experience with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration systems (Kubernetes).
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud and on-premises network integrations.
- Experience in managing secrets, certificates, and access policies securely across environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices or experience operating in enterprise IT environments with change control and SLAs.
