Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager leads the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient processes. This role supports leadership through financial analysis, budgeting, cash management, and team development while driving continuous improvement across accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
- Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and general ledger integrity
- Support budgeting, reporting, and leadership financial updates
- Manage cash activity, bank reconciliations, and cash forecasting
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collections
- Supervise journal entries and subsidiary accounting activities
- Lead process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Manage, develop, and evaluate accounting team members
- Ensure compliance with company policies, reporting requirements, and workplace regulations
- Prepare annual state reporting and support multi-entity financial activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- 5 years of accounting experience preferred
- Manufacturing accounting experience preferred
- 2 years of leadership experience
- Strong Excel, financial reporting, AP/AR, and cash management skills
