What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leasing Coordinator position at Genuine Property Services?
Position Summary: The Leasing Coordinator will focus mainly on leasing and assisting with day-to-day operations of a brand new residential development. Experience with tax credit properties is a must.
Essential Functions:
- Leasing& Marketing: advertise, show, and rent vacancies – be the main point of contact for move-ins and move-outs; conduct move-in and move-out inspections
- Prepare/file all necessary paperwork with appropriate government and rental agencies under the Community Manager’s guidance
- Compliance: process re-rental LIHTC files in accordance with internal and HPD/HDC rules and regulations
- Monitor and update internal tracking spreadsheets
- Complete voucher packages including CityFHEPS, FHEPS, NYCHA, CVR, etc
- Correspond and coordinate with case managers regarding new move ins
- Customer service: be a point of contact for resident questions regarding lease renewals and concessions
- Conduct regular building and apartment inspections
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with tax credit/ affordable properties
- Proficient in Yardi, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task while upholding strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization skills
