We are seeking a driven and energetic Hotel Sales Manager to join our team at a limited-service NYC hotel with a small, flexible meeting space. This role is responsible for generating new business, growing existing accounts, and maximizing revenue across corporate, group, local segments and crew business. The Sales Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales and hotel operations to ensure a seamless experience for all clients and guests.
This position will be responsible for generating new business to ensure that property revenues are meeting and exceeding goals, ultimately delivering premium market share results.
Responsibilities Overview
- Meets and exceeds revenue goals by developing new accounts and relationships.
- Effectively move share from competitors to the hotel, achieving and exceeding RevPAR index goals.
- Actively solicit business via phone, telemarketing, cold calls, warm calls, e-commerce, site visits, etc.
- Work closely with the Director of Sales and Director of Revenue Management on strategies to move market share
- Ensure systems are established and in place to respond to customer needs within a defined response period. These may include, but are not limited to: telephone inquiries, bids, proposals, confirmation of bookings, thank you letters, follow up letters, etc.
- Development and implementation of SMART Plans for assigned market segments. Monitor results and progress during weekly one-on-one meetings.
- Manage accounts to achieve collective Genuine Hospitality guest satisfaction targets.
- Although minimal, prepare status and period end reports.
