What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cabinet/Closet Installer position at GENTRY STINSON?

Duties
- Assemble and fit customized storage solutions, including closet components, shelving, cabinets, trim, and accessories, based on project drawings.
- Evaluate installation plans, double-check dimensions, and inspect the workspace before starting each job.
- Position and secure all materials to achieve a precise, stable, and polished installation.
- Add accessories and hardware, make final corrections, and inspect the completed project for quality.
- Identify on-site issues and determine practical solutions to keep the installation moving forward.
- Use appropriate protective measures in customers’ homes and keep the jobsite neat and orderly from start to finish.
- Maintain courteous and clear communication with customers, coworkers, designers, and management.
- Provide a professional on-site experience that reflects the standards of Hampton Design & Closets.
- Keep tools, equipment, supplies, and company vehicles clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Adhere to established company practices and all required safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custom closet installation, cabinetry, remodeling, trim carpentry, finish carpentry, millwork, or a related trade is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read measurements, plans, and installation specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting materials, standing, bending, kneeling, and working with tools for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license
