Job Summary
Gentle Touches Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home care for medically fragile pediatric clients (ages birth–21). Our nurses provide skilled, family-centered care to help children thrive safely in the comfort of their homes.
We are looking for nurses who are passionate about pediatric care and dedicated to supporting children with complex medical needs.
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing services to medically fragile children requiring assistance with feeding support, daily medical care, and monitoring of health conditions. The RN will work closely with families, physicians, and care teams to ensure the highest level of care. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling based on client needs and authorized care hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to pediatric clients in their homes.
- Monitor and assess patient health status.
- Assist with feeding support (including G-tube or specialized feeding when applicable).
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Assist with daily care needs and medical monitoring.
- Develop and follow individualized nursing care plans.
- Educate parents and caregivers on care procedures.
- Document care provided in accordance with agency and state regulations.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and care team.
- Maintain a safe and supportive home care environment.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with medically fragile children ages 21 and under required.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently in a home care environment.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with G-tubes, feeding pumps, and enteral feeding.
- Knowledge of pediatric developmental needs.
- Experience caring for medically complex pediatric patients.
