Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity.
- Support patients with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to promote safety.
- Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions regularly to detect any changes or concerns promptly.
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking to promote health and well-being.
- Administer medication following care plans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering positive communication and engagement tailored to individual needs.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment to support overall health.
- Support clients in community outings or transportation needs while ensuring their safety during travel or appointments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of patient observation, monitoring vital signs, medication administration, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or autism is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely and effectively.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in hospice care or geriatrics are advantageous.
- Familiarity with patient rights, HIPAA compliance, care plans, and home & community care standards.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; compassionate approach essential for success.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
