Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Service Provider to join our team. As a Direct Service Provider, you will be responsible for providing support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia in their homes or community settings. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the overall well-being of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Aid in meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by supervisors
- Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
- Document client progress and report any concerns or changes in behavior to the appropriate supervisor
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
Skills:
- Experience or knowledge in social work, home care, or patient care
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Ability to provide dementia care and support
- Proficient in basic first aid techniques
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to drive and transport clients as needed
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring is a plus
