We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Support clients with medication administration and monitor vital signs as prescribed, ensuring compliance with care plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary requirements and assist with meal planning and cooking.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety.
- Conduct patient observation to identify changes in health status or behavior, reporting findings promptly to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient progress, and any incidents while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes.
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and home health services.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely.
- Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional training in medication administration or hospice care is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other intellectual disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality at all times.
