Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Part Time Clerical Homecare Assistant to join our dedicated team in Piscataway.

The hours will be flexible but will be monday through friday from 3 to 4 hours per day, preferred mornings until 1pm.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential administrative support within a homecare setting, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service delivery. As a vital member of our team, you will manage front desk responsibilities, handle multi-line phone systems, and assist with various clerical tasks that keep our homecare services running efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Greet clients, visitors, and staff professionally at the front desk, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems, screen calls, take messages, and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing, and document proofreading to ensure all client and administrative information is up-to-date.
  • Utilize computer skills to update schedules
  • Support office management tasks such as organizing files, processing paperwork, and maintaining office supplies inventory.
  • Ensure efficient communication by managing email correspondence and supporting administrative needs of caregivers and clients.
  • Uphold professional phone etiquette while providing timely support to clients and team members.
  • Perform clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning documents, and preparing reports as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive office environment by demonstrating excellent organizational skills and time management.

Qualifications

  • Proven clerical or administrative experience in an office setting; experience in healthcare or homecare environments is a plus.
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), and data entry skills.
  • Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to support diverse client needs.
  • Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and maintain accuracy in proofreading documents.
  • Personal assistant or medical receptionist experience can be beneficial but is not required.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
