We are seeking a passionate, outgoing, and culturally connected Community Relations Coordinator to join our growing home care agency. This role is critical to building bridges between our agency and diverse communities—especially those speaking Indian languages, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Ukranian or Arabic. The ideal candidate will be bilingual, proactive, and enthusiastic about engaging with community members, clients, and caregivers to support our mission of delivering compassionate, high-quality care at home.
Success in this role means expanding our client and caregiver network, strengthening relationships with key cultural and community groups, and increasing awareness of our services. You will be a vital part of our outreach and recruitment team, ensuring our services are accessible, trusted, and understood across communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local cultural organizations, religious institutions, senior centers, and community leaders.
- Represent the agency at community events, health fairs, and cultural gatherings to promote awareness of our home care services.
- Assist in recruiting bilingual home health aides and caregivers who align with our agency's mission and values.
- Conduct outreach efforts to educate families about available home care options and how to access our services.
- Serve as a cultural liaison between clients, caregivers, and agency staff to ensure effective communication and culturally sensitive care.
- Track and report on community engagement metrics and recommend strategies to increase visibility and trust within targeted communities.
- Support marketing and communication efforts by helping to adapt messaging for different languages and cultural contexts.
Qualifications
- Bilingual fluency in English and one or more of the following: an Indian language (e.g., Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, etc.), Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), Russian, Ukranian, Polish or Arabic.
- Proven experience in community outreach, customer service, or relationship-building roles—ideally in healthcare, home care, or social services.
- Deep understanding of cultural norms, values, and community structures relevant to the language group(s) you serve.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with home care services, healthcare systems, or senior services is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing, healthcare, communications, or related field preferred.
