About the Role (Summary of project)
Gentis Solutions is seeking three Quality Engineers with General Electric (GE) aerospace experience to join a leading aerospace manufacturer in Blue Ash, OH. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and focused on quality systems, first article submissions, compliance, and supporting production and engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, Discus FAI, Net Inspect, and Keyence vision system programming, along with strong blueprint interpretation and problem-solving skills.
What You’ll Do (Job Description):
- Perform Quality Engineering activities to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and GE Aerospace customer requirements.
- Execute First Article Inspections (FAI) using Discus FAI and Net Inspect, including GE-specific processes.
- Interpret aerospace engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, and documentation requirements.
- Use handheld inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators) to verify part conformity.
- Program or support programming of vision measuring systems, preferably Keyence.
- Apply APQP/PPAP methodologies for new product introduction and process validation.
- Support production troubleshooting, quality investigations, and corrective actions.
- Utilize Excel for statistical analysis, pivot tables, logic functions, and reporting.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customer representatives.
- Maintain detailed quality records and documentation to support audits and compliance.
What We’re Looking For (Must Haves):
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, Quality, Business, or 5 years of relevant experience.
- 2 years of Quality Engineering experience.
- Direct experience working with General Electric (GE) aerospace quality requirements.
- Experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and aerospace specifications.
- Proficiency with handheld gaging tools (micrometers, calipers).
- Working knowledge of Excel including pivot tables and statistical formulas.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with Discus FAI, Net Inspect, and vision measuring systems (Keyence preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have Skills):
- APQP/PPAP experience.
- Experience submitting FAIs specifically for GE Aerospace.
- Advanced programming experience with Keyence or similar systems.
- Experience supporting customer audits or leading corrective action processes.
