Reporting to the Post Closing Manager, this position is responsible for accurately reviewing, processing and filing real estate documents with the appropriate government agency and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. This position prepares and verifies document submissions to facilitate efficient transaction processing and title clearance and maintains detailed records of all transactions related to property ownership transfers. This role collaborates with closers, borrowers and sellers to secure all required documentation for recording.
This role ensures the accurate and timely recording of real estate documents including deeds, mortgages, assignments, lien releases and other title-related instruments. Additionally, this position performs internal quality assurance audits on deeds and loan files as part of the Pre-Closing process to minimize risk and maintain high standards throughout the transaction process.
Qualifications Include:
- High School diploma or GED required
- 3 years’ experience in real estate, title processing or a related field
- 1 years’ experience with document recording preferred
- Familiarity with real estate documents, including deeds, mortgages, powers of attorney, liens and affidavits
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment preferred
- Prior experience in the mortgage industry preferred
- Solid skills and experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation
- The hourly range for this position is between $18.00 - $19.25
- This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
