You will contribute to all phases of design, including concept development, construction documentation, and construction administration. Our Atlanta office has a thriving Retail and Consumer Experience practice and is looking to expand our team. As a Technical Designer within this group, you will help deliver world‑class retail environments by integrating design excellence, technical rigor, and strategic thinking. You will work with a multidisciplinary team from concept through completion to deliver quality project work as a steward of Gensler’s commitment to quality, innovation, and impact.

What You Will Do
- Perform technical design assignments, including programming client needs, developing conceptual diagrams and models, producing technical studies, and generating construction documentation.
- Support communication among project teams, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and permitting officials.
- Provide design and documentation support throughout project execution.
- Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
- Support coordination with local jurisdictions for permit submissions, plan review responses, and approvals.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
- 3–5 years of experience in an architectural design firm
- Proficiency in Revit (required)
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3dMax, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office
- Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.
- Self‑motivated, responsible, and highly driven.
- Demonstrated commitment to resilience and sustainable design practices.
- State licensure and LEED accreditation a plus
