What You Will Do
Contribute to architectural deliverables on projects, working with Design Director(s) and project team(s) for all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production
Support and collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
Contribute to resolution of complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings
Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs
Advance the understanding that design resilience is a responsibility of every person at Gensler
Cultivate design expertise with the desire to always learn, grow, and evolve
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
3-6 years of relevant architecture and design experience within a commercial design firm
Ideal candidate will have experience with multiple building typologies of varying scale, including commercial office and mixed-use buildings, sports and entertainment venues, workplace interiors and repositioning projects
Must be proficient in Revit and the Adobe Suite. Proficiency with Rhino, Grasshopper, Parametric Modeling, Sketch-up, 3D Studio Max and VRay is a plus.
Knowledge of materials, construction techniques and building codes and the design process
Conceptual 3-dimensional thinking skills and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas
Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Creativity Initiator that brings curiosity, enthusiasm and a "can do" attitude
Organization, communication, and relationship building skills

Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; Portfolios should include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interview
