Senior Accountant

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Lead to take full ownership of the accounting function for our two locations. This role is strictly accounting-focused and requires hands-on expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), billing, payroll, general ledger, and collections. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently and be ready to manage the full accounting cycle with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee AR and AP functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Manage billing cycles, invoicing, collections, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Prepare and review financial reports to support management decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy in all accounting processes and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with leadership on reporting and financial insights.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of progressive experience in accounting.
• Strong expertise in AR, AP, billing, payroll, general ledger, and collections.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in the service industry.
• Knowledge of job costing and contract billing.
• Sage or NetSuite
