Role Description This is a full-time Data Science Intern role based in San Jose, CA, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. The Data Science Intern will support the design, development, and evaluation of data-driven features that power GenPark’s agentic discovery platform. Daily work may include collecting, cleaning, and transforming data; performing exploratory data analysis; and building prototypes for models related to user behavior, recommendation, or personalization. The intern will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product stakeholders to define metrics, run experiments, and interpret results that inform product decisions. The role also involves documenting methods, preparing clear visualizations, and presenting insights to technical and non-technical team members.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Statistics and Data Science, with the ability to apply statistical methods to real-world problems.
- Proficiency in Data Analysis and Data Analytics, including experience with exploratory analysis, visualization, and deriving insights from large datasets.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills, such as problem framing, hypothesis formulation, and structured thinking.
- Experience with Python or R, and familiarity with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts (e.g., classification, regression, evaluation metrics).
- Comfort working with SQL or other query languages to access and manipulate data.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to diverse audiences.
- Current enrollment in, or recent completion of, a degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Interest in AI-driven marketing, personalization, or digital commerce; prior project or internship experience in these areas is a plus.
