JOB TITLE: Trainer/Instructional Designer
REPORTS TO: Director, Human Resource
PURPOSE: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs that build skills, ensure compliance, reinforce company culture, and develop leadership across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with department heads and conduct training needs analysis to identify knowledge and performance gaps, create training objectives, instructional strategies, and project scopes.
- Design and deliver on-the-job training programs that equip employees with the practical skills they need to perform their roles effectively and safely.
- Develop and deliver compliance training to ensure the organization meets regulatory requirements and tracks completion across the company.
- Design and facilitate group leadership training workshops or cohort based training for leaders and perspective leaders.
- Ensure prepared trainings meet business objectives and have appropriate content.
- Develop all training tools (training manuals, multi-media, visual aids, computer-based training modules)
- Create course tests, quizzes, scenario training cases, exercises.
- Embed company culture throughout all training initiatives and ensure accountability to those cultural values.
- Track and report on training outcomes to measure effectiveness.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend training platforms and tools that support the organization’s needs.
- Coach and mentor leaders to help them excel and model our company culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
3-5 years prior experience as a facilitator and trainer in a manufacturing environment. Flexible and skilled in both facilitation of learning as well as development and delivery. Strong computer experience with a creative presentation approach.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Verbal and written English skills required
Verbal and written Spanish skills a plus
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to recognize and solve problems with employees and process improvement.
Ability to use common sense.
Ability to maintain a level head and thought process during a crisis.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certification in training, instructional design, or adult learning from a recognized accredited body.
