Genox Transportation is seeking an experienced Cryogenic Tractor & Trailer Mechanic to join our Deer Park maintenance team. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing Class 8 tractors and cryogenic tanker trailers to ensure our fleet remains safe, reliable, and DOT compliant.
The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance, air brake systems, preventive maintenance inspections, electrical troubleshooting, and general fleet repairs. Experience welding on stainless steel, aluminum, or carbon steel is a strong plus but not required.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections on tractors and cryogenic trailers
- Diagnose and repair air brake systems, lighting systems, and electrical components
- Inspect and maintain tires, wheel assemblies, and suspension components
- Troubleshoot and repair cooling systems, charging systems, and starting systems
- Diagnose and maintain cryogenic trailer piping, valves, pumps, and auxiliary engines
- Perform DOT inspections and ensure equipment remains compliant
- Complete repair documentation and maintenance records
- Assist with structural repairs and fabrication projects as needed
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA/DOT regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience maintaining Class 8 tractors and trailers
- Knowledge of air brake systems and DOT inspection requirements
- Experience diagnosing electrical and lighting issues
- Ability to read service manuals and repair documentation
- Valid driver's license
- Own basic hand tools
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
- Cryogenic trailer experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate
