Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with food production tasks including food handling, braising, poaching, grilling, and food preparation for various menu items.
- Support menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes and seasonal specials that align with culinary standards.
- Ensure adherence to recipe guidelines and portion control during meal preparation to maintain consistency.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
Qualifications
- Previous dietary aide experience or similar food service background preferred.
- Strong culinary skills including knife skills, food handling, and cooking techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food production.
- Experience with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely in high-volume production environments.
- Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation standards.
- Restaurant or catering experience demonstrating ability to work efficiently under pressure.
