What are the responsibilities and job description for the Power Electronics Engineer position at GeniusMesh?
This role will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and optimization of power electronic systems and related hardware/firmware for high-power applications. Works cross-functionally to deliver reliable products from concept through production while supporting customer requirements and technical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop power electronic systems/components for industrial or high-power applications.
- Perform feasibility studies, simulations, prototyping, testing, and validation for new and existing products.
- Support product qualification, engineering analysis, and production launch activities.
- Lead failure analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and test procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
- Experience in power electronics design and development.
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC power conversion / power converter systems.
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems/firmware development using C/C and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Knowledge of real-time control systems (PWM, PID, PLL).
- Experience with DSPs, FPGAs, and microcontrollers.
- Understanding of EMI/EMC, magnetic circuit design, thermal management, and high-frequency switching systems.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
