Door-to-Door Sales Representative (Appointment Setter)

Genius Water Co. is a fast-growing residential water treatment company serving North Carolina homeowners. We install water softeners, filtration, and whole-home treatment systems that fix the stuff people deal with every day: hard water spots, dry skin, chlorine taste and smell, and appliances that wear out too fast. We don't sell with pressure — we sell with proof, starting with a free in-home water test.

We're hiring a full-time Door-to-Door Sales Representative to book those free water tests. Your job is the first conversation: knock, connect, and get homeowners on the calendar — our specialists handle the testing and the rest of the sale. This is a straight-commission role with no ceiling: every appointment you set that turns into a sale puts money in your pocket, and the harder you work, the more you make.

Duties

• Knock residential neighborhoods in your assigned territory and start friendly, low-pressure conversations with homeowners
• Offer and schedule free water tests — our proven, no-cost way to get in the door (no demos or closing on your end; our specialists take it from there)
• Confirm appointment details and pass clean, accurate lead info to the team
• Track your knocks and booked appointments, and hit weekly activity goals
• Represent the brand well: professional, honest, and genuinely helpful at every door

Requirements

• Proven experience in outbound calling, telemarketing, or inside sales, preferably in door to door
• Strong negotiation and communication skills in English, with the ability to build rapport quickly
• Proficiency with CRM systems
• Demonstrated success in deal closing and business development activities
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle rejection positively
• Experience with customer service, technical sales, or consultative selling approaches is highly desirable
• Comfortable engaging in door-to-door interactions and conducting professional client communication

What we're looking for

• 1 year of sales, retail, restaurant, or other customer-facing experience (door-to-door experience is a plus, not a requirement)
• Comfortable talking to strangers and staying positive through "no's"
• Self-motivated — you manage your own day and your own numbers
• Able to work outdoors and on your feet, including some evenings and Saturdays
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must pass a background check [remove if not applicable]
