Responsibilities

• 2 years prior classroom experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is required; experience specifically with toddlers is highly preferred.
• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans focused on early childhood education principles, including literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills.
• Lead daily classroom activities that promote active learning, creativity, and positive behavior management strategies tailored to toddlers’ needs.
• Foster a nurturing environment that supports toddler care, emphasizing safety, health, and emotional well-being through attentive supervision and responsive caregiving.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, ensuring a collaborative approach to child development.
• Maintain accurate documentation of child development progress, assessments, and adherence to mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety.
• Collaborate with team members to develop individualized plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health standards including first aid and CPR certification, and classroom management policies to create a secure learning environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting, preferably with toddlers or preschoolers.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
• Demonstrated ability in curriculum development tailored to toddler care that integrates literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
• Valid certification in pedractic first aid and CPR; ongoing commitment to health and safety standards.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and experience implementing classroom management strategies that foster positive behavior.
• Ability to plan lessons using standardized testing insights when appropriate while maintaining flexibility for individual child needs.
• Experience teaching physical education or incorporating movement into daily routines is a plus.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• CDA/associate's degree/bachelor's degree in ECE preferred
• 2 Years experience working with children

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
