Part-Time IT Support Specialist / Systems Technician
We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled Part-Time IT Support Specialist / Systems Technician to provide hands-on and remote IT support. This position is ideal for someone with broad IT knowledge who is comfortable troubleshooting user issues, supporting Windows environments, working with servers and Active Directory, and assisting with cloud and network technologies.
The successful candidate should be able to work independently, communicate effectively with users, take ownership of technical issues, and assist with IT projects from planning through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows computers, users, and business applications.
- Support and administer Microsoft Active Directory (AD) environments, including user accounts, computers, permissions, and Group Policy.
- Assist with Windows Server administration and troubleshooting at various server levels.
- Perform user account management, password resets, access management, permissions, and workstation configuration.
- Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including LAN/WAN connectivity, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, switches, and related equipment.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Provide remote technical support using Remote Desktop and other remote-support tools.
- Support and troubleshoot Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra ID environments.
- Assist with AWS or other cloud platforms when required.
- Configure, clone, image, and deploy Windows computers and workstations.
- Join and deploy systems within Active Directory/domain environments.
- Install operating systems, applications, drivers, updates, and security software.
- Assist with workstation migrations, replacements, upgrades, and new-user setups.
- Document technical issues, configurations, equipment, and completed work.
- Assist with IT infrastructure projects and coordinate projects from planning through completion.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance when coordinating IT projects or working with users and vendors.
Qualifications
Candidates should have practical experience or a strong working understanding of:
- Microsoft Windows desktop environments
- Windows Server
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Microsoft Azure
- AWS and/or other cloud environments
- Remote Desktop and remote IT support
- Computer imaging, cloning, and system deployment
- Networking fundamentals
- Printer and scanner installation/configuration
- User and access management
- Hardware and software troubleshooting
- Project management and implementation
Strong problem-solving, leadership, communication, organization, and customer-service skills are important. The candidate should be comfortable working independently and managing multiple technical issues or projects.
Position Details
Position: Part-Time IT Support Specialist / Systems Technician

Hourly Pay: $27.00 per hour
Travel Pay: $25.00 per travel/site visit
Schedule: Flexible/part-time based on support and project needs
Work: Combination of remote IT support and on-site work as needed
