Weekly Gross Pay: $2,442.00
Weekly Taxable Pay: $720.00
Nontaxable Weekly: $1,722.00

Genie Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced RN ONCOLOGY to fill an opening place located in Gilbert, AZ for $67.83/hr. (taxed non-taxed)
Requirements of the RN ONCOLOGY:
- Must have a valid state AZ License or Compact license.
- Must have AHA ACLS, BLS, OCN
- Must have 2 years of RN ONCOLOGY

Responsibilities of the RN ONCOLOGY:
- Shift: 12-hours Days
- Shift details: 7.00 AM to 7.30 PM
- 36 hours/week (3*12)
- 13-week assignment
- Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for oncology patients, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols and safety standards.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other targeted treatments with precision, utilizing aseptic techniques and proper medication administration procedures.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments, manage side effects such as acute pain or infusion reactions, and implement appropriate interventions promptly.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, pharmacists, and social workers—to coordinate complex care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment options, medication management—including ICD coding—and post-treatment care instructions.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support triage activities by assessing patient symptoms remotely or in person, prioritizing urgent cases such as trauma or infectious disease concerns.
- Demonstrate proficiency in specialized procedures including suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, ostomy care, and specimen collection for laboratory processing.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with oncology patients in various settings such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate documentation and medical records management.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology related to chemotherapeutic agents and supportive medications like botulinum toxin treatments when applicable.
- Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center background enhances ability to manage complex cases involving acute pain management or trauma medicine.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation tools such as CT scans or sonography; knowledge of ICD-10/ICD-9 coding is advantageous for precise documentation.
- Ability to perform advanced nursing procedures including ventilator management, tube feeding administration, phlebotomy, and aseptic technique adherence.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with a focus on physiology knowledge and the ability to handle diverse populations—including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, and those with developmental disabilities.
- Experience in hospice & palliative medicine or working within post-acute care environments adds value to comprehensive patient support efforts.
