Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract in Mullica Hill, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated nurse to provide exceptional emergency care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years of recent ER experience and prior travel nursing experience. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based emergency care to patients of all ages.
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and emergency interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and document patient conditions and interventions accurately.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during critical situations.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of New Jersey.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Emergency Department (ED/ER) experience.
- Previous travel nursing experience (must have completed at least one contract).
Certifications/Licensure
- American Heart Association BLS – Required.
- American Heart Association ACLS – Required within 6 months of hire.
- American Heart Association PALS – Required within 6 months of hire.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – Required.
- Critical Care Course – Required within 1 year (or 2 years of CC experience or current CEN).
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) – Completion required within 12 months of initial assignment or ongoing trauma education (minimum 8 contact hours every 2 years).
- National Certification (CEN) – Preferred.
