Job description:
We are seeking an Assistant Event Manager / Bar Manager to join our team! Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing and helping events run smoothly from beginning to end. This role is a flex role between Bar Manager and Event Manager. Your responsibilities may change on a daily basis depending on the needs for each event. An Event & Bar Manager of Genevieve Catering should work closely with the other Event Managers, Bar Managers, chefs and back of house staff, clients, wedding planners and other vendors to ensure the event is a success.
Event Manager Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all event management aspects from start to finish
- Work with the Assistant Director of Catering to determine equipment needs for each event
- Coordinate staff group text the day prior to the event including all necessary details such as meeting time, uniforms, etc.
- Responsible for double checking that all equipment is packed and ready to go the morning of the event
- In charge of coordinating staff arrival, carpooling to events, uniforms and new staff paperwork
Bar Manager Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all bar management aspects of event planning from start to finish
- Work with the Assistant Director of Catering to determine bar equipment needs for each event
- Responsible for ordering all weekly liquor needs based on upcoming events
- Responsible for completing all bar requisition sheets for events
- In charge of all inventory of bar equipment
- Responsible for staging / packing all bar equipment for events
- This may also include helping the Event Manager pack for events as well
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event planning, bar managing, or other related fields
- Strong project managing skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to work well in teams
- Flexibility of day to day tasks and assignments
