What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative - Documentation Specialist position at Geneva Woods Health Supplies?
MyMedSupplies (formerly Geneva Woods Health Supplies) is currently seeking candidates for the position of Documentation Specialist in our Operations Department. This position is responsible for reviewing customer accounts for accuracy and validity of documentation required for billing and reimbursement. Continuous responsibility for renewal of pre-authorizations, prescriptions, certificates of medical necessity, letters of medical necessity and other qualifying documents before expiration. The successful candidate must posses strong organizational and customer service skills, the ability to work independently or with others, and be proficient with computers.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Customer Service Representatives (called Care Coordinators) and billers to maintain document compliance for existing customer accounts.
- Maintain professional relationships with referral sources and physicians.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Maintain valid and accurate documentation for existing accounts to ensure that documents are compliant for order processing, billing and reimbursement.
- Contact providers and referral sources to attain valid documentation for billing and claim submission.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player.
- Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills essential.
- Proficient computer skills.
