Summary:
Seeking a mid-level Cloud Engineer to support and enhance its Microsoft Azure cloud environment, with a strong emphasis on automation, reliability, and operational excellence. This role partners closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to modernize cloud platforms, automate operations, and support enterprise systems within a Microsoft-centric ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools.
- Build and support Azure automation solutions using PowerShell, Azure Automation, ARM/Bicep, and/or Terraform.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Azure AD/Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Perform systems administration across Windows Server environments, both on-premises and cloud-integrated.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud and hybrid infrastructure for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to enable scalable, cloud-ready solutions.
- Document system configurations, operational processes, and technical runbooks.
- 3-6 years of experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, identity).
- Strong automation and scripting experience; PowerShell strongly preferred.
- Experience using Terraform or Bicep for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Familiarity with hybrid environments (on-premises and Azure).
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Azure certifications (AZ-104 or similar).
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of security best practices in regulated environments (insurance or financial services a plus).
- Solid background in Windows Server and enterprise systems administration.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
