This is a critical trader-facing role supporting a Front Office Global Markets business. Responsibilities:
- Provide application support and perform problem diagnosis by investigating issues, resolving problems, and communicating status
- Manage user query mailbox effectively and ensure a timely and appropriate response is provided for all user queries
- Respond to and resolve feed and batch support items
- Manage alerts and monitor critical trading system environments using ITRS
- Utilize strong Python skills to create alerts and detect patterns
- Manage incidents by providing timely and accurate user notifications and management escalations
- Handle documentation and knowledge management
- Follow up and coordinate resolutions with various development teams
- Assist with metrics reporting
- Coordinate and perform Business Continuity testing and related paperwork
- Organize and run meetings independently for issue resolution
- Identify scope for automation to reduce manual, repeating tasks
Requirements:
- Degree in Mathematics, Science, or Technology
- Hands-on experience providing direct support to front office trading desks
- Business knowledge of Fixed Income (Rates, Credit, FX or Commodities) or Equity products
- Understanding of market data flows
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and ITRS Geneos
- Proficiency in Unix, SQL, and Python
- Knowledge of ITIL and Grid Computing
