Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care by performing physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and patient assessments to determine needs and develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
• Manage IV infusions, catheterizations, tube feedings, and ventilator support for patients requiring specialized interventions.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth.
• Assist with diagnostic evaluations including specimen collection, processing, and medical imaging procedures when necessary.
• Provide wound care, suture removal, and aseptic techniques to prevent infection and promote healing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and ensuring continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current certification to practice in the designated area.
• Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), nursing homes, hospice care, or outpatient clinics.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medication administration protocols.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate documentation and patient record management.
• Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, triage procedures, pain management—including acute pain—and emergency response techniques.
• Familiarity with specialized care areas such as Alzheimer’s/dementia/memory care, infectious disease management, pediatric or neonatal care is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring complex medical interventions like ventilator support or spinal taps.
• Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient-centered care; physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting or repositioning tasks safely. Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
