Site Project Manager

Genesis Technical is seeking an on site Project Manager for a heavy industrial project in Oregon.
The position is direct/full-time/onsite.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
This position requires someone with significant project management experience and the knowledge and skills to develop project plans, scopes of services, schedules, budgets, and execution plans. This role will initially be full-time on-site at a pulp mill located in Oregon for a six-to-twelve-month duration, with the possibility of extensions, and will evolve into other project management work after this initial assignment. Reporting to the location’s Operations Leader, the successful candidate will build strong collaborative relationships internally and externally, demonstrate strong project and business skills, be well-spoken and personable, and be a strong advocate for and leader of the engineering team. Previous project work at pulp mills is required.

• Manage all aspects of business projects from inception through execution
• Develop and document the scope of work
• Understand project success criteria and ensure client expectations are met
• Develop and track project costs
• Identify and communicate changes to SOW
• Identify and effectively respond to clients' issues and needs
• Ensure value is provided to the client and develop & earn their trust
• Ensure the client's policies and procedures are communicated and followed by the project team
• Review and manage all project deliverables
• Secure resources needed for the team to execute work effectively (i.e., drawings, reports, site visits, etc.)
• Ensure POs are received from the client before work begins and ensure services are rendered within the approved budget; also, ensure invoices are paid timely
• Anticipate future work associated with or derived from ongoing projects

WHO YOU ARE:

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering
• Project Management experience on engineering projects through installation and start-up/commissioning
• Knowledge of front-end engineering and detailed engineering process
• Experience in managing contractors, sequencing workflow, developing an integrated schedule, managing critical path, and change management.
• Proven Customer Account Manager with experience in developing opportunities within existing clients
• Demonstrated experience in driving projects within budget from initiation through a successful and timely conclusion
• Coordinate and supervise project implementation, control project costs, monitor progress, and quality of the projects
