Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated PRN Security Officer to join our team on an as-needed basis. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through vigilant surveillance, access control, and emergency response. Your proactive approach will help ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property while delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to monitor for security breaches or safety hazards
- Control access points using access control systems to verify authorized personnel and visitors
- Perform surveillance activities utilizing CCTV cameras and other monitoring equipment
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies following established procedures
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns or events
- Assist in performing background checks on visitors or contractors as needed
- Provide first aid or CPR in emergency situations when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience in security or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of physical security procedures including patrolling, manual handling, and incident reporting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for patrols and emergency responses
- Certification in first aid, CPR and firearm handling is highly desirable
- Familiarity with surveillance technology and access control systems
- Strong conflict management and de-escalation skills to handle difficult situations professionally
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to perform background checks and adhere strictly to security regulations
