We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Leasing Agent to join our team in Rahway, NJ. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of leasing residential and commercial properties, maintaining high occupancy levels, and providing excellent customer service to prospective and current tenants. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to property management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting and qualifying potential tenants, providing tours of available units and highlighting property features.
- Respond to inquiries, schedule property showings, and follow up with prospective tenants.
- Assist in processing rental applications, lease agreements, and renewals in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure that leasing goals are met by achieving occupancy targets and minimizing vacancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leasing activities, prospective tenants, and lease expirations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, addressing their questions, concerns, and service requests in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the property management team to ensure the properties are well-maintained, appealing, and in compliance with local regulations.
- Market available properties through various channels, including online listings, social media, and community events.
- Conduct regular inspections of leased properties to ensure they meet company standards and follow up with any required maintenance.
- Assist with rent collection and coordinate move-in and move-out procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in real estate, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in property leasing or real estate is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and leasing/property management software.
